DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD!

Hello, and Welcome Back!

After a number of attempts i have finally finished with my mock up double page spread. This has been the most lengthy process so far, due to trouble finding images and texts which i thought fitted the theme of my magazine. I have based this part of the magazine on Kerrang and a specific double page spread from kerrang which i have show below;

The inspiration for my title line came from this magazine as well as the colour scheme, although the images and text will be contrasting. I thought this tag line would be the most appealing to a younger audience, being able to find out about someons history, especially a celebrity.
I feel that this was my best and FINAL attempt!
Thanks for reading, Please leave comments :)

Contents!

Hello and Welcome back!!
Here are two examples of my first mock up for my contents and
my final mockup. The first one was far to plain and did not feel
original enough for me, it seemed to ordinary and not magazine
esque. The second contents page came from no insiration from
another magazine, i was just fiddling with the photos on photoshop
and was pleased with what i made. From here i added some numbers
to make the contents look more like Q. The lense flare effect is consistent
with the New Era title. I am comfortable with the way my contents looks,
as i feel it is orignal and easy to navigate.
Any comments will be taken on board!
Thankyou.

Final Front Cover

Hello Again!
I have finally edited my front cover to a place where i am happy with it. Previously it looked like a movie poster, but with the edition of different fonts and colours i feel that it is more eyecatching whilst still being simple and elegant.
All your comments will be appriciated

Thankyou.

Mock Up Progress

Here i have placed a couple of my mock up front covers for my New Era magazine, the left one is quite plain and simple which i like, there is not too much going on, so there is no confusion into what to look at first, however, after having feedback from a study group i decided to try and add more to make the cover more interesting and dynamic. This resulted in the image on the right, although there is more text here it still looks quite... boring, so i aim to change some colours and have a go at changing the layout to make this magazine look more interesting rather than plain. I'll let you know how i'm getting on!
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks.

More Magazine Analysis! (Front Cover)

Here i've analysed things such as the masthead, header, central image, graphics, colours etc, of the front pages of Q magazine. This will help me to create ideas for an eye catching front cover.
Thanks and Enjoy!

Target Audience

Welcome Back!

Today i want to discuss my target audience, The essential idea for the 'New Era' magazine is to broadcast the new ranges of music to a younger audience, there are constantly new fashions and styles of music, so why not make a magazine about the new era that's forever catching up with the old? Teens are the main audience i'm aiming for due to them being the younger generation however other age ranges from 25-40  if not older would probably still be interested in the music within the magazine. Saying this however, the colours, language, and pictures are more for the appeal of the teenage/young adult audience rather than the ages above these, so it all depends on the style of the readers, if new music is their thing then this magazine is for them. There is no closed age rate on a magazine, it is just for people who enjoy new interesting music, and those who are joining in the transition to the New Era.
